Planting the Seed
Do you remember the song, "The Word of God is like a little bity seed, scattered all around..."
In the Parable of the Soils in Luke 8, Jesus explains to His disciples in verse 11 that, "The seed is the word of God."
Are you planting seeds? How are you sowing seeds today?
I stumbled across a beautiful watermelon hiding in the weeds this morning. I didn't plant any seeds here, however this is the spot where I often throw leftover watermelons to my 3 little piggies. I guess I sowed some seeds and didn't even know it.
It occurs to me that the more I take in God's Word, the more "seeds" I have to sow, and we often sow away through out the day and don't realize it, until one day...fruit! Someone might say, "I remember the time you said, or you taught, or you spoke, or you wrote..." SEEDS!!
People are listening, so let's keep sowing seeds grounded in God's Word, and we will give Him the praise when we see that fruit in the lives of others.
By the way, I think this is the best watermelon I've ever tasted; maybe cause it's the first one I have "grown" successfully.
